A total of 50 participants took part in the Mayang Sari Sunset Mai Tah Plogging (jogging while picking up litter) at Bukit Kubong, Labuan, Malaysia on 8 February 2026. The community-based event started at 6:30 AM and focused on promoting a healthy lifestyle while keeping the environment clean.
Participants jogged along the Bukit Kubong trail while collecting litter along the route, turning a regular morning exercise into a meaningful environmental activity. The event attracted people from various backgrounds, including local residents, runners, and volunteers who share the same passion for fitness and environmental care.
To appreciate the participants’ support, each registered participant received goodies, an e-certificate, an e-medal, and an e-badge. The event also featured a lucky draw, and registration for the program was completely free, making it accessible to the community.
Objectives of the Program are:
- To promote a healthy and active lifestyle through plogging.
- To raise awareness about environmental cleanliness and responsibility.
- To encourage community engagement and volunteerism.
- To create a positive and meaningful outdoor experience for participants.
The organizer hopes that this initiative will inspire more community-driven environmental activities in the future and encourage the public to take part in keeping public spaces clean.
